I think some food cultures of Okinawa were influenced by those of foreign countries. Ta-co is one of those food cultures. Ta-co rice, perhaps being inspired by ta-co, is one of the local specialty foods in Okinawa.
Jerk Chicken(grilled herb flavored chicken) is also a local specialty food in here.
Jambaru taco is the restaurant in Nago city, and which mainly serves those two great local foods.
About Jambaru taco
Jambaru taco is located here.
It will be convenient to drop into for people enjoy the tour of ORION beer craft plants.
The office hours are from 2 pm to 22 pm. (So we endured being hungry for the shop open…)
The entrance is surprisingly not big, but the inside is comfortably spacious.
What to order
First of all, we ordered foods, and then we were seated.
We ordered 2 pieces tacos for each, and 1/4 roast chicken. It costed 1460 yen. Affordable!
There 2 kinds of tacos: Beef, or Chicken. We ordered both, and shared them.
1/4 of roast chicken. It was flavored of garlic and and some herbs.
Before serving tacos, they gave us 2 kinds of sauce.
If you do not like spicy foods, use ketchup(behind of the grass of spicy sauce).
When we ordered this, the crew offered that they can serve different kinds of tacos on one dish. The thoughtfulness like that will make sharing food easier, and it is really heart-warming.
The beef tacos.
And, it is the Chicken tacos. The chicken was extremely rich.
It will change your stereotypes about chicken.
I am going on Low-carb diet, so these foods were suitable for me .
I was really enjoying tacos(even if there was a hot dog on my T-shirts).
To tell the truth, we had a little funny battle in the morning of the day.
Delicious foods are always giving us peace,
and also helping us making good relationships.
